The Lenovo Legion Y27gq-25 was announced at CES 2019 and is the worlds first 1440p 240hz monitor. It was released for sale in August 2019 in Europe via the Lenovo website, but is not available in US until later in 2019.
Performance: This is the worlds first monitor to feature the ultrafast AU Optronics 27-inc 240hz 1440p panel with 0.5ms G2G response times, 90% DCI-P3 coverage and NVIDIA G-Sync HDR support. As such, you can expect blistering performance and great color accuracy for a TN panel.
Design & Build Quality: The design is clean and simple with a matte black finish and features extremely narrow bezels at the top and sides. The ergonomic stand is makes it easy to adjust the screen and it doesnt take up too much space on your desk unlike some other monitors. There are 3 x USB ports, audio jack, display port 1.4 and 2 x HDMI ports on the back, unfortunately there is nothing in the design to help with cable management. There is also a detachable Harman Kardon certified bluetooth speaker.
Adaptive Sync Technology: NVIDIA G Sync HDR. Note that since this monitor supports G Sync Ultimate there is a built in fan to cool the G Sync module which may annoy those users with an ultra quiet setup.
Verdict: If you have both the budget and the PC performance then we highly recommend the Lenovo Y27GQ-25.
